Saint Agatha School is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its newly transformed Outdoor Playspace on Saturday, September 21, 2024. This celebratory event will follow the 4:30 PM Mass at St. Agatha Parish Church and will run from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Saint Agatha School, 440 Adams Street, Milton, MA 02186.

This exciting transformation began with a visionary plan in March 2024, led by Principal Chambers and Father Palardy. Their goal was to convert the school's dull, lifeless parking lot into a vibrant and dynamic playspace where students can engage in a variety of activities. With the leadership of Director of Advancement, Nancy Lynn Weiler, and the success of our annual Gala and Auction, the dream of an Outdoor Painted Playspace has become a reality.

Over the summer, our once drab blacktop has undergone a remarkable makeover. The new playspace features a range of exciting elements designed for active play and social interaction. Students can enjoy classic games like hopscotch and four-square, challenge each other on the basketball courts, or engage in soccer and football on the multi-sport field. Additional amenities include pickleball and strategic games like chess and checkers.

In addition to the sports and games, the playspace includes tables and benches for relaxation and socialization, as well as garden planters to add a touch of greenery and beauty to the area. This new space not only enhances the recreational experience for our students but also enriches the community environment.

The Grand Opening Event is a chance for us to celebrate this significant achievement and extend our gratitude to the many community members and supporters who contributed to making this project a success. We invite all families, friends, and members of the Saint Agatha School community to join us for this special occasion.
