We are thrilled to announce that Saint Agatha School will be featured on the Catholic TV Mass on January 31. This is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to share our mission of faith and service with a broader audience.
At Saint Agatha School, faith and service are not just concepts we teach, they are values we live. Over the past few months, our Campus Ministry program has played a central role in helping students connect with the core principles of compassion and service that define our Catholic identity. Since September, the program has offered many opportunities for spiritual growth and community involvement, all under the guidance of Mrs. Kathy Fitzpatrick, our Campus Minister, and Mrs. Linda French, who supports the program.
Service Projects that Make an Impact
Our students have been engaged in a variety of service projects that have made a tangible difference in our local community. This fall, our 3rd and 4th graders led a collection drive for the Milton Community Food Pantry, focusing on items such as tea, hot chocolate, and cookies to support local families in need during the holiday season. Meanwhile, our 6th graders partnered with "My Brother's Keeper," a local organization based in Easton, to wrap gifts for families facing hardship.
In addition, students across all grade levels created Christmas cards for senior citizens, spreading holiday cheer to the elderly in our community. Grades 3-8 also participated in Advent Reconciliation, a special spiritual preparation to help students ready their hearts for the Christmas season.
Our youngest students in grades K-2 held a Toy Drive in partnership with the South Shore YMCA Quincy to provide new toys for local families. This initiative underscored the importance of generosity and the joy of giving to those less fortunate.
These service projects have allowed our students to put their faith into action, deepening their understanding of Catholic values such as charity, kindness, and empathy. Through these experiences, they are learning what it truly means to be part of a supportive community and to serve others in the spirit of Christ.
Growing in Faith, Every Day
At Saint Agatha School, our commitment to nurturing students' faith goes far beyond the classroom. Opportunities for prayer, reflection, and worship are integrated throughout the school year. Whether through daily prayers, participation in school Masses, or involvement in local service projects, our students are continually encouraged to grow in their relationship with God.
