Last month, the Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) announced the winners of its 2024 Christmas Card Design Competition. Hanna N., a 7th-grade student at Saint Agatha School, won first place in the 7th-12th grade category. Her artwork will be featured on the school’s 2024 Christmas card, sent to faculty, donors, and partners. Principal Gregg Chambers praised Hanna’s achievement, noting the school’s dedication to fostering creativity. The competition supports CSF’s mission to provide educational opportunities for students in need through programs like the Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF).
Last year, the Saint Agatha School Scholar Awards were launched, thanks to a generous grant from The Flatley Foundation in Braintree, MA. These awards provide tuition credits for families enrolling or re-enrolling students in Grades K2 through 8. In early 2025, applications will open for the 2025-2026 school year, as the grant has been renewed for another year. Details and the application form will be shared in the new year, and all eligible families are encouraged to apply.
Saint Agatha School welcomed Eileen McLaughlin, Superintendent of Catholic Schools, for a special visit. During her time at the school, she engaged with the leadership team, students, and staff. She also attended Mass and enjoyed a performance by the school’s talented chorus.
Last week, our Grade 8 students, along with their teachers and Principal Chambers, took a field trip to the Massachusetts State House in Boston, where they explored the inner workings of state government.
